Planning a deployment sounds like an odd concept and having the time and funds to get back to Hawaii made this one very special! We’re starting 2024 off right…in Hawaii to tak

We’re starting 2024 off right…in Hawaii to take care of some unfinished business!

Following 2023’s devastating wildfires in Lahaina we put a crew on planes and teamed up with local residents for 2 weeks to distribute essential supplies and make a direct contribution to the impacted communities. Unloading boats and passing supplies directly to those in need is an amazing feeling, pick up trucks backed up to the shore we’re eager and ready to begin distributing it immediately.

95% of the trees in the burn zone were lost, 29,000 trees in total. Part of rebuilding and starting new for Lahaina begins with removing those burnt trees. Although many fell, some are still standing and pose a threat to residents and crews working in the area.

For this deployment we’re partnered with local crew, @treecoverylahaina, to expedite the removal and rebuild process. Treecovery will be replanting all new trees and no cost to the community. The goal is 30,000 in total!

Re-Deploying to a disaster zone is rare for many reasons and this deployment marks the 5th time we’ve been able to return and continue recovery efforts! This is due in large part to YOUR continued support and the incredible support from @loweshomeimprovement
