COOS COUNTY, Ore. - The dream is becoming a reality as Bryan's Home gets siding from Reach Out Worldwide.

"We are going to turn this into something amazing for our veteran community, and also for the community as a whole to be proud of what all they're donations have gone to," said Patrick Wright, with Operation Rebuild Hope.

Late actor Paul Walker founded Reach Out Worldwide in 2010 to help after the Haiti earthquake. Paul, who starred in the Fast and Furious movies, passed away in 2013. His brother, Cody, and Cody's wife, Felicia, are the CEO's.

Felicia said a local veteran, Tara Moore, connected her to Operation Rebuild Hope via social media in December of last year.

Wright and Felicia discussed the next steps to Bryan's Home: exterior siding.

"We got a really good partnership with Lowes this year, so I figured it would be a such a good opportunity to bring that partnership and what we do and the veterans and the local community of where we're from," Felicia said.

Felicia is from Gold Beach, and Cody's grandfather, a prized boxer, was born and raised in Coquille and retired in North Bend. They lived in the area in the past, and Cody previously worked for Bay Cities Ambulance.

As an organization that typically deals with disaster relief, the Walkers said their first time working with a local veteran resource hits close to home.

"He'd be so proud," said Cody. "My brothers, Paul, Caleb and myself always felt guilty because we were the first line of men in our family that didn't join the military so to be able to contribute to the men and women that did is really cool. Paul would be so proud."

He said it's an honor to contribute and bring their work from overseas to their own community on the south coast.
