ROWW continues assisting Aroma Park residents by collecting personal belongings and securing them safely ahead of next week’s winter storm.

Miss Sherry was on vacation in Florida when the tornado hit, but contacted neighbors working with ROWW. Our team gathered her valuables, photos, and important documents to store safely until she returns.

Due to dangerous 45 mph wind gusts, roof tarping was paused today. However, teams were still able to board up several home windows safely from the ground.

ROWW volunteers continue working after Monday’s EF

ROWW volunteers continue working after Monday’s EF3 tornado that left Aroma Park unrecognizable. The devastation stretches over 36 miles across Kankakee County.

Despite strong winds making roof tarping difficult, our teams secured three homes today and cleared debris fields where families’ belongings and photos were scattered into nearby yards.

We’ll continue helping families throughout the weekend with support from Imperial Exteriors.
