What Does "Impact" Really Mean?
For many, disaster relief is measured in dollars or headlines. At ROWW, we measure it in access, safety, and dignity. Impact is the bridge between the moment a disaster hits and the long road to recovery. It's the gap we fill to ensure no one is left behind in the debris. When the other agencies are still mobilizing, we are already on the ground, clearing the path.
How We Move The Needle
Education is part of the mission. To understand our impact, you have to understand the work:
- Rapid Entry & Clearing: We don't just walk in; we cut our way in. Our saw teams clear downed trees and debris from primary access roads so emergency vehicles and aid can reach isolated neighborhoods. We also have heavy-machinery operators for the really big jobs, helping clear roadways to allow for access.
- Mucking & Gutting: After the flood water recedes, the real work begins. We help families strip damaged homes to prevent mold and salvage what remains of their lives.
- The "Gap" Relief: We specialize in the "forgotten" window, the days immediately following a disaster when local resources are tapped out and federal aid is still being processed. ROWW comes in to fulfill the unmet need.
- Medical Intervention: Our volunteers include paramedics and nurses who provide critical care in environments where hospitals are either overwhelmed or unreachable.
Strength in the Community
Our Impact isn't just about moving trees and clearing roads; it's about rebuilding communities and providing the most essential thing to those affected: Hope! By providing professional grade relief at no cost to survivors, we allow communities to keep their resources for the long-term rebuild. We show up so they know the world hasn't forgotten about them.
Transparency is Our Foundation
Our work is fueled by your trust and we don't take that lightly
- The Annual Impact Report: A deep dive into where your donations go, the stories of the survivors we've served, and how our founder's vision has evolved over the last 15 years.
