North Carolina Flood Response Update: Tropical Sto North Carolina Flood Response Update: Tropical Storm Chantel brought historic rainfall onto many counties of central North Carolina; ROWW is tirelessly sorting through each piece of memorabilia with homeowners in the Carrboro community of Chapel Hill, NC.
Most residents report living in the area for more than 35 years and were all told they are not in a flood zone, so none of them had flood insurance. Team ROWW takes great pride in communicating with these storm victims to ensure that we will always go the extra mile to save what we can. Not one item goes to the curb unless the homeowner directs it to.

So far, 47 homes were impacted in a small community sub division alone. There are 9 counties with flood impact zones. In addition to Chapel Hill, ROWW is actively monitoring and aiding Mebane with supply needs. There are an estimated 7,500 displaced residents across the state.

ROWW is working 11 jobs right now,
1 saw team going with 2 jobs already completed, 4 homes have been mucked out and now drying.

Due to the high skill level required to conduct these missions ROWW is not accepting volunteers for this deployment. We are in need of cadaver dogs, if you or anyone you know has dogs please email responders@roww.org for details!

First responding with supply distribution and then pivoting to adapt to the community’s needs as progress was made. We’re super proud of the team and dozens of volunteers who’ve stepped up and helped fulfill the unmet need of residents affected by the fires. It’s been an honor to serve our hometown cities of Altadena and Pasadena for months now. As we close out one chapter of this deployment we’re planning the next so stay tuned as we keep this recovery going for all who need it! 🎥: @chynovega #teamROWW #reachoutworldwide #lawildfire #eatonfire
Volunteer Spotlight! Ali & John Brotherton! ROWW Volunteer Spotlight! Ali & John Brotherton!

ROWW is incredibly fortunate to have two exceptional volunteers, Ali & John, who have poured their hearts and souls into supporting those affected by the devastating Eaton Fires in Los Angeles. From day one of our deployment back in January, they have demonstrated unwavering dedication, compassion, and selflessness — perfectly embodying the mission of Reach Out WorldWide.

For more than six monthes, they’ve shown up consistently, bringing energy, empathy, and strength to every task. Their commitment has made a profound difference in the lives of those impacted by the fires and helped build a strong presence for ROWW in the Altadena and Pasadena communities. John and Ali have been longtime friends of ours and supporters of all things ROWW for well over a decade!

Much of what ROWW has accomplished during this deployment is thanks to their tireless efforts. We are deeply grateful for everything they have done — and continue to do. ROWW is incredibly lucky to have you both. #TeamROWW #reachoutworldwide
