Illinois Tornado

On March 10, 2026, an EF-3 tornado swept through areas in Illinois and Indiana, leaving a 36-mile path of destruction! The following day, ROWW had boots on the ground in Kankakee County, Illinois, onsite in the affected areas.

In Aroma Park, IL, our team worked with residents to recover personal items that were scattered across the debris field by the storm. Reach Out WorldWide provided totes and boxes for the residents to store their belongings in while they awaited further assistance.

On March 12, 2026, ROWW partnered with a local roofing repair company, Imperial Contractors. Together, they were able to tarp partially damaged roofs for residents while also clearing out debris from inside the homes and the surrounding area. Despite the high winds, ROWW was able to provide tarping on 3 homes.

From March 13th to 18th, our teams continued their work in Aroma Park. They helped multiple families recover items from their homes and even assisted a woman who was out of town when the storm hit. With a winter storm looming, our teams worked tirelessly to secure her belongings before the weather could cause further damage.

In total, ROWW was able to provide services for 9 households; our focus was personal item recovery, debris clearing, and roof tarping. All of this was made possible by our 11 volunteers and partner Imperial Contractors, who worked many hours to help the Kankakee County community. Over the course of the deployment, our volunteers logged 380+ service hours!
