Following the floods that swept through central Texas in the middle of the night, ROWW immediately deployed a Team Lead to respond and provide supplies and aid in search and recovery efforts. We first linked up with Center Point volunteer firefighters and delivered their requested supplies. We then shifted focus to search and rescue efforts alongside the other volunteer organizations. ROWW was able to source a large excavator to aid in search efforts as well as much needed fuel for the firehouse and other equipment. The excavator was donated by Anderson Machinery Co out of Corpus Christi. Our team lead remained onsite aiding in search and recovery efforts, sifting through brush and debris searching for victims. On the 6th day fresh volunteer firefighters relieved our team lead who further coordinated supply and equipment distribution and coordination for the next 2 days.
