On December 9 2023, almost exactly two years after the Mayfield, KY tornadoes, a severe weather and tornado outbreak impacted the middle Tennessee region Saturday afternoon. The tornado outbreak started from a storm system that ranged over 1200 miles from the Gulf to the Canadian border on Saturday. Team ROWW activated an initial response plan with volunteers to conduct chainsaw work, tree falling, debris removal and lot clearing. Team ROWW met up with Warren Causey with the Sirens Project group along with a skid steer to provide valuable expertise in tree falling and debris. ROWW drove into the epicenter of the tornado’s destruction paths and spent a week conducting much needed tree falling, and debris removal from homes affected.
